Our team works one on one with each client to help identify ways to add value to their long term recovery, including a focus on relapse prevention, values, and recovery fellowship engagement. In addition to vetting treatment professionals, Intensive Outpatient Programs (IOP), recovery meetings, and other outpatient resources, we expose clients to various life engagement activities. Our structure, which is outlined below, is designed in a way that allows you to participate in community activities and learn important skills; we offer lots of opportunities, and you get to choose what works for your schedule and your goals. We make suggestions and provide support and accountability, but you decide what works for you. Hope House Boston Review approaches recovery by looking at both abstinence and your life satisfaction/ happiness. We employ the tenants of positive psychology to help identify what areas of your life will benefit the most from your attention, ultimately helping you achieve your goals and a life that you look forward to living!

We Also Offer Less Structured Sober Living

Our experience has been that once our clients arrive at Hope House Boston Review, they understand and feel the benefits. You are not locked in to any long term agreements, but we do ask that you come planning to stay for at least 60 days. After your initial period at Tharros, you may wish to explore our less structured home, Teras. You are not locked in to any long term agreements, but we do ask that you come planning to stay for at least 30 days. Some treatment facilities provide care for 30, 60 or 90+ days. If you’ve completed a program like this, you’re probably feeling very good about your recovery, as you should.

SERVICES

Zarengar received a Ph.D. in Clinical Psychology, from California School of Professional Psychology and a Psy.D. In psychoanalysis, from the Institute of Contemporary Psychoanalysis. She has a Master’s Degree in Marriage and Family Therapy from Loma Linda University and has been a licensed M.F.T since 1988. ​When you arrive at the house, you will undergo an initial discussion and orientation with the Program Director, including a dialogue on the past events that led you here.

Support Design and Implementation

At Hope House Boston Review, we want to help you achieve your life goals and long­-term sobriety with the tools and foundation you’ve already acquired. Leaving a residential, inpatient, or outpatient treatment environment is often more challenging than expected. You’ve changed, but the people, places, and things around you haven’t. Some of the same triggers you had before can be reactivated and we recognize how frustrating and upsetting that can be. At Tharros, we offer semi-private to fully private ensuite accommodation.

At Hope House Boston Review, we combine a sober community with aftercare, assisting our clients as they acquire new skills to meet life’s challenges in a fresh and encouraging way. Our mission is to help our clients achieve long-term recovery, move on from feelings of shame, and learn how to live a fulfilled life. Our sober living home reinforces honesty and integrity as we provide support along the journey to cultivating a new, constructive and optimistic sober lifestyle.

With 24/7 management and support, we can help you find an appropriate job, connect with the recovery community through volunteer opportunities and activities, find the right treatment resources, and build a foundation in sobriety. Learning to live a happy life free of alcohol and drugs takes time,  but you can do it if you want to. The ability to spend 6 months to a year in a supportive environment allows you to learn more about yourself and your addiction.

Every guest room is well appointed, comfortable, and quiet. Hope House Boston Review is a private peer program which is not affiliated with any state or federal offerings. Testimonials are available on our site, and we are happy to connect you with families and past clients who can share their experience with you. We take privacy seriously, and client information is not shared with any outside sources, except those affiliated with treatment, or which the client otherwise requests. Monthly fees at Tharros include food for all meals and snacks, transportation by our team in commercially insured SUVs, all activities, Tharros groups, and peer mentoring support.

There are no referral fees and our vetted licensed professionals accept a variety of insurances. We have the sole goal of connecting you with the providers who will help you the most -­ Period. Hope House Boston Review, located steps away from the center of Lexington, spans 4 levels with almost 8000 square feet of living space. All client guest rooms at Tharros are equipped with queen sized Serta Presidential Euro-top premium mattresses and high thread count linens. A sober living home creates fellowship and community that can help you get back to a life where you are happy and fulfilled. The proper support, combined with a safe environment and first hand know-how will guide you to experience a new way of being and behaving.

Asking vulnerable questions in the kitchen encourages them to do the same when they step out into the world. When they get the hang of a skill, they can then turn to a buddy who needs assistance. We support each other’s path as well as to share what we have mastered. Some guys come naturally to working with dough, while others are more comfortable with a knife.

Teras is located two miles away from Tharros (both Tharros and Teras are in Lexington MA). This less structured residence is designed to support clients when they have 25+ hours of work or other outside structure weekly, which can be developed with assistance from our team, in the first 30 days. Tharros is a place for you to grow and develop a life you want to live without substances. Some of our clients choose to engage our less supportive or independent living homes also, and we can help you identify if that’s right for you when the time comes.

At Teras, clients work with their on-site case manager and our vocational coach to develop a recovery fellowship and engage work. Clients of Teras may also be involved in outpatient treatment while they develop a foundation in their recovery work, and apply to work positions. After 30 days, clients are expected to be employed while they continue progress in their recovery work. They continue to meet with their case manager weekly and participate in community support activities. All Hope House Boston Review and Teras House clients are provided peer case management to ensure that they are given every opportunity to maximize their early recovery.
